Where trust meets enduring value.
Managed Accounts
For clients that choose to follow Brendan and Jodi with taxable positions and from time to time, we may offer portfolio management services through separately managed accounts (or “discretionary”) portfolios to individuals, trusts, estates, pension funds, corporations and institutions.
This eliminates any unnecessary tax when moving accounts.
Endurance Total Return LP
Endurance Total Return LP is a dedicated hedge fund that presents a unique opportunity to invest in a carefully curated portfolio of publicly traded stocks. As investors in Endurance, clients acquire a share of the fund, benefitting from a holistic, not customized, asset allocation strategy.
Performance Fee, Not Management Fee
Unlike bank-based investment advisers, who levy management fees based on total assets under management—regardless of their growth or decline—we operate differently.
Our approach is perfectly aligned with your interests. We charge a performance fee only if the fund genuinely performs. Specifically, we only take a portion of returns exceeding 6%. This means that if the fund does not achieve at least 6% growth within a year, we don't earn a dime.
Why People Choose To Invest With Us
Some investment advisers are incentivized to maximize assets under management, not to maximize returns. Our fee structure is specifically designed in the opposite manner.
Our relationship with our investors is a true partnership where your trust propels our unwavering dedication to long-term capital growth. As Charlie Munger said, "the highest form which civilization can reach is a seamless web of deserved trust. Not much procedure, just totally reliable people correctly trusting one another.” That’s the standard we set and maintain.
“Investing transcends mere financial decisions; it's a testament to trust. It requires understanding the intrinsic value of companies and having the patience to let them grow. That means trust in the company you invest in and the team you invest with. The most enduring rewards don't come from fleeting market trends, they come from the marriage of trust and long-term growth.”
- Brendan Storey, CEO of Endurance Capital
Our investment philosophy is grounded in durable value.
We appreciate, respect and admire entrepreneurs and businesses. It is not easy to provide a product or service that meets a market need for a price the market will pay, while generating a profit. Founders, executives and managers who do this well are both valuable and unusual, and create wealth that provides for many people. When we see a company that does this better than most, we like to own it, in order to share in the profits it generates.
Typically, the whole thing is not for sale, and we don’t control enough money to buy it all anyway. So we buy little pieces of it, in the form of shares. We make investment decisions based on business fundamentals: a strong management team, a good product/market fit, and earnings that justify the price. We seek to only buy pieces of businesses that possess a durable competitive advantage at good prices, and we hold them for the long term. We don’t like to get in and out of positions frequently, because if we bought a business to begin with it means we like it for the long term. As a rule of thumb, our fund holds between 10 and 15 publicly traded stocks, and nothing else.

What to Expect From Us
We believe in transparent and periodic communication, primarily through annual letters, and scheduled phone calls. Since our focus is on long-term growth, frequent communication isn't typically needed.
Our success is measured over the long term, against major indexes like the S&P 500 and the S&P/TSX, rather than yearly gains or losses. We concentrate on intrinsic value and do not guarantee any rate of return since investing always involves risk. Our unique fee structure only charges when the fund performs, so if you're not making money, neither are we.
Our Shared Values

We tell the truth and perhaps most importantly, we admit what we do not or cannot know.
